Thinner, toned arms, legs, waist and stomach. 5 stone lost in 2 years, not bad, ey?

For normal girls like you and I, losing a couple of pounds is pretty good. Staying on a diet for more than 1 month – that’s a job well done…

Well, it’s inspirational females like Charlotte Mears that put us to shame.

This 27-year-old from the UK managed to completely transform her figure; the Instagrammer documented how she lost 5 stones in only 2 years.

To put this into perspective, that’s around 32kg of body fat. And now she looks like a totally different person.

What Motivated Her?

Charlotte had decided that she wanted to transform her figure long before she actually took action.

At the very start of her fitness journey, she weighed 14 stone (89kg); this was mainly due to her love of takeaways and eating out, with her weight ‘spiraling out of control’.

With weight gain came feelings of sluggishness, with Charlotte become very unhappy with her appearance.

This led to her envying fitness models on Instagram, and it was these women who inspired Charlotte to embark on her fat loss journey.

Finding The Right Balance

Charlotte didn’t succeed straight away. In fact, she failed numerous times by trying to follow very restrictive diets.

On finding the right balance, Charlotte says: “”It’s not about restriction and excessive exercise, it’s about fuelling your body with healthy nutritious foods (real and unprocessed) and getting out in the fresh air and moving your body more.”

“The best tip I could give you is [to] focus on having one ‘on plan’ meal at a time.

“If you slip up, get back on plan with the next meal and don’t deprive yourself to make up for it.”

She her transformation below:

Good morning! 💕 I am in a very good mood this morning as we are off out to buy birthday presents today! 🎁I am another year older on Wednesday 😳 but on another note I have never felt better! I have finally learnt how to treat myself well. I have been overweight, I've restricted myself, I've tried the weirdest diets and been completely lost in what is and isn't healthy but now as I approach the grand old age of 27 😱 I have now found a very comfortable place where I am healthy, full of energy and most of all happy and content ☺️ if you're just starting out remember it's not about restriction and excessive exercise, it's about fuelling your body with healthy nutritious foods (real and unprocessed) and getting out in the fresh air and moving your body more. The best tip I could give you is focus on having one 'on plan' meal at a time, if you slip up, get back on plan with the next meal and don't deprive yourself to make up for it. Remember that bad food you crave isn't going anywhere, it will still be there later. Take some time to think about whether you really want it before giving in, because as the time passes you will then be able to refocus on your priorities which for me, was getting healthy and gaining self control. 💛

Charlotte’s Quick Tips For Fat Loss

There’s nothing better than hearing tips from someone who’s really succeeded in transforming their figure.

Well, Charlotte has kindly shared her tips, to help you begin and sculpt your dream body too.

Check them out:

  • Cook tasty, natural meals – She adds many herbs and spices to her meals to make them enjoyable, instead of going for plain meats with no sauce.
  • Don’t make excuses and get started – Don’t keep saying ‘i’ll do it tomorrow’, just get started and you won’t look back.
  • Find the right balance – As long as you’re on track most of the time, you can allow yourself some treats now-and-then.
  • Choose exercises that you enjoy – There’s nothing worse than spending hours on a treadmill that you hate. Instead, go for walks or jogs in scenic places if you enjoy that more.
  • Stop listening to the haters – People will always criticize you, so block them out and continue working hard and you’ll be the one laughing in the end.
