Another easy method you can use to make sure to undue the sitting damage is to stand up and move your body from time to time after sitting. You don’t need to rest after sitting for more than three or five minutes because this is plenty to speed up your blood flow and stretch your muscles.
If there is plenty of space around you, then you can just spend the whole three or five minutes by walking. If there isn’t enough space for a walk, you can do stretching exercises for your entire body and then get back to what you need to do again.
Moreover, remember to keep your posture in check as you sit and use a comfortable chair and desk to make sure that even long hours of sitting couldn’t harm your health.

Finally, sitting for too long won’t harm you if you lead a healthy lifestyle. It doesn’t mean you have to follow every healthy living rule, but doing such simple things as working out, avoiding overeating, and eating mostly healthy foods is enough to make a huge difference.
If you’re able to follow these simple recommendations, then you don’t need to worry that sitting might be as harmful as smoking. Sitting becomes harmful only for those people who eat mostly junk products, rarely exercise, and sit for long hours without moving at all.
